Aims
and Objectives in brief

| a)

To promote
awareness pertaining to the rights and benefits of the Insurance
consumers in respect of General Insurance and Life Insurance
contracts.

To promote
awareness pertaining to their legal/contractual rights and
obligations in relation to claims.
|
| c)
|
To interact
with the Risk Management Institute of India and such similar
organisations in India.
|
| d)
|
To co-ordinate
with different educational, professional Institutes, Colleges,
Universities, etc.

| e)
|
To promote
awareness about the procedures and follow-up actions for the
realisation of claims under General Insurance and/or Life
Insurance policies.

| f)
|
To cause and
activise the Forum opening its chapters in various parts of
the country.
|
| g)
|
To
co-ordinate the activities of Forum with those of the Chambers
of Commerce,Trade Associations , Insurance companies, Loss Prevention
Association of India and other safety organisations in solving
the claims realisation problems of the members. |

to become a member : |
| |
Companies,
Firms and Individuals who wish to enroll themselves as members
are requested to send the membership fees by cheque/DD in favour
of INSURANCE CONSUMER FORUM OF INDIA , payable at Calcutta,
India. |
